Onboarding Instructions
New users and existing users, that do not have access to receive assets from Source via email download links, will need to complete the following steps:
- Request access from your Amazon MGM Studios contact
- Receive an email with instructions on how to setup Okta
- Setup Okta (if you haven't done so already)
- Receive an email welcoming you to the Aspera workspace
Install Aspera Connect
To download files delivered via email, you need to install Aspera Connect on your computer. Click on this link (https://www.ibm.com/aspera/connect/) and select the appropriate OS (MacOS or Windows).
Download Files via Email Download Links
You will receive email download links from one of the following email addresses:
To access the assets, follow these steps:
1. In the email, click the "Download Assets" button
2. A window will open and you will be prompted to authenticate. Click the "Login with Okta Originals Access" button and enter your credentials
3. You will be redirected to a page listing your assets. Select the checkbox next to the asset(s) that you wish to download. Then, click "Download" in the blue header
4. A pop-up window will appear. Select "Yes" to grant the necessary permissions for downloading.
5. Aspera Connect will open and the asset(s) you selected for download will be listed. Your download should begin immediately.
6. Once the download is complete, you can find the files in the Downloads folder on your computer

Aspera Connect Issues

A: A full list of common issues can be found on the Aspera Connect website here. The most common troubleshooting steps include:
- Aspera Connect Version - Check that you have the latest version of Aspera Connect downloaded
- Aspera Connect Extension - There are separate Aspera Connect extensions for each browser. Confirm the browser you are using has the Aspera Connect extension downloaded.
- VPN Issues - Some VPNs will disable the Aspera Connect functionality. Try disabling your VPN and restarting the download.
