Connecting Okta Verify on a Computer

Option 1: Starting on Your Computer

Use this method if you are setting up Okta Verify on a computer for the first time.

Step 1: Open Okta Verify and Get Started

1. Open the Okta Verify app on your computer.
2. Click Get Started.
3. You will see a screen with two options: New account (left) and Add account from another device (right).

Step 2: Enter Your Organization's Sign-In URL

Under New account, type the following URL into the input field:

> login.originalsaccess.com

Then click Next.

> Mac users: The field is labeled *"Organization's Sign-In URL"* and includes helper text showing the expected format (e.g., `example.okta.com` or `login.example.com`). Enter `login.originalsaccess.com` and click Next.

> Windows PC users: The field may appear as a plain, unlabeled empty box with no helper text — this is expected. 

For Originals Access Okta use: `login.originalsaccess.com` or for MGM Lobby Okta, use: 'mgm.okta.com' directly into the empty field and click Next.

Step 3: Sign In and Verify

4. A browser window will open to the Originals Access login page (`login.originalsaccess.com`).
5. Enter your username (email address) and password.
6. Verify your identity using your mobile device (Okta Verify on your phone, if already enrolled).
7. You may be prompted to set up additional security features such as Windows Hello or Fingerprint — you can skip or enable these as preferred.
8. Once complete, the browser will display: "Your Identity is verified."

Option 2: Starting on Your Phone (Adding to Another Device)

Use this method if you already have Okta Verify installed and active on a phone or another device, and want to add your account to a new device.

Prerequisite: Okta Verify must already be installed on the device you wish to add.

Step 1: Initiate from Your Phone

1. Open the Okta Verify app on your mobile phone
2. Go to Account Details
3. Tap "Add Account to Another Device"

Step 2: Get the Code

4. The app will display a prompt to **Scan or Enter a code** on the other device.

Step 3: Enter the Code on Your Computer

5. Open **Okta Verify** on your laptop or other device.
6. Click **"Add account from another device"** (the option on the right side of the screen).
7. **Scan or enter the 8-digit code** displayed on your phone.

Step 4: Confirm the Pairing

8. Once the code is entered on your computer, you will receive a **confirmation prompt on your phone** — approve it to complete the pairing.

Step 5: Set Okta FastPass as Default

9. After pairing is complete, set **Okta FastPass** as your default authentication method when prompted.

Option 3: If Your Computer Is Asking for an 8-Digit Code

Use this method if you're setting up Okta Verify on your computer and see a prompt asking for an 8-digit code.

iPhone (iOS)

Step 1: Generate the 8-Digit Code

1. Open Okta Verify on your iPhone.
2. Tap the Okta account you want to add to your computer.
3. Tap Export account.
4. If prompted, verify your identity using Face ID, or your device passcode.
5. An 8-digit pairing code will be displayed.

Step 2: Complete Setup on Your Computer

6. Open Okta Verify on your computer.
7. Select Add account from another device.
8. Enter the 8-digit pairing code displayed on your iPhone.
9. Follow the remaining prompts to complete setup.

Android

Note: Depending on your version of the Okta Verify app, some screens or menu names may appear slightly different.

Step 1: Generate the Pairing Code

1. Open Okta Verify on your Android device.
2. Tap the Okta account you want to add to your computer.
3. Tap Export account.
4. If prompted, allow Bluetooth permissions.
5. A QR code and pairing code will be displayed.

Step 2: Complete Setup on Your Computer

6. Open Okta Verify on your computer.
7. Select Add account from another device.
8. Either:
   • Scan the QR code, or
   • Enter the pairing code manually.
9. Follow the remaining prompts to complete setup.
