Purpose: To help users install app version of AppStream 2.0 for PC. Prerequisites: Need both an MGM Active Directory account in MGM OKTA & AppStream 2.0 application assigned to OKTA account. Audience: Amazon employees that need access to certain MGM legacy applications. |
- Download Windows Client of AppStream 2.0: https://clients.amazonappstream.com/
- Enable Admin Access for PC laptop in ACME > Utilities
- Run the AppStream .exe file
- Review user agreement, then click Next
- Check Client Logging, then click Next
Check AppStream 2.0 Client USB Drive, then click Finis
- Click Install
- AppStream icon will appear on user's Desktop
- Set Start URL with Registry Editor
- User must do this step in order to be prompted to sign into MGM's instance of AppStream via MGM OKTA when launching the AppStream application on PC
- Close AppStream client (if open)
- Download AppStreamStartURL.reg file from BOX: https://amznstudios.app.box.com/s/w96ny0kg7t0yuusc02upjcb6pd3d3evx
- Make sure admin access enabled via ACME > Utilities
- From the START menu/Windows search bar, type regedit
- Choose the Registry Editor app, select Run as administrator to launch Registry Editor as admin
- In the Registry Editor app, click File, then select Import
- In the Downloads folder, select AppStreamStartURL, then click Open
- Click OK
- When user launches AppStream app, they will now be able to connect to MGM's instance of AppStream
