Context
In order to comply with Amazon's security policies, certain applications are only accessible via AppStream. These applications cannot be accessed outside of MGM's instance of AppStream.
Users on PC machines can either use the browser version of AppStream via lobby.mgm.com, or they can use the app version of AppStream.
Users on Macs can only use the browser version of AppStream via lobby.mgm.com.
Obtaining AppStream access
If user requesting AppStream access does not have an MGM AD Account, user's manager or MGM P.O.C. must submit a New User Request Form (NURF) for the user to obtain an MGM AD/OKTA account (@mgm.com account).

Once user has obtained an MGM AD/OKTA account, must have Amazon AppStream 2.0 application assiged to MGM OKTA account.

AppStream/other applications missing in MGM OKTA
- Make sure to be logged in with MGM OKTA, not Amazon email, at lobby.mgm.com
- Below screenshot is default applications user will see at lobby.mgm.com when signed in with their Amazon email address
Access BOX inside AppStream
- PC Users accessing AppStream via the browser are not able to use BOX Drive in AppStream
- Only PC users can access app version of AppStream
- Only Mac users can access web version of BOX in AppStream
- Adding BOX folder for File Explorer in AppStream
- Must be signed into BOX Drive outside of AppStream (on PC laptop)
- Install BOX Drive via BOX's site: https://www.box.com/drive
- Once connected to BOX Drive outside of AppStream, must map BOX Drive inside of AppStream
- Select Settings on the top of AppStream client
- Select Local Resources, then select Local Drives and Folders
- Click Add Folder on bottom-left corner of window
- Select BOX folder
- Select Settings on the top of AppStream client
- Must be signed into BOX Drive outside of AppStream (on PC laptop)

- Click Share next to BOX folder. Make sure to click Save my configuration
- BOX folder should now appear in File Explorer inside AppStream
- Click Share next to BOX folder. Make sure to click Save my configuration

Applications inside AppStream not functioning
- If user is having issue with applications inside of AppStream not functioning properly, user needs to "End Session" of AppStream.
- Just closing out of the AppStream application by closing out the tab or AppStream window does not end the session of AppStream.
- When user signs back into AppStream, the same windows/applications in AppStream will still be open
- User needs to click on the "Profile" icon at the top right-hand side of the AppStream window.
- Select "End Session"
- This forces a refresh/reboot of user's AppStream instance
- After ending session of AppStream, log back into AppStream to confirm issue is resolved

When signing into app version of AppStream, cannot type characters in AppStream window
- User launches AppStream application on PC laptop, however cannot type characters in window
- To resolve issue, run the HP Imaging Assistant Tool on HP laptop
