Before you begin
Just a few prerequisites before you begin: you most likely need to download the IBM Aspera Connect transfer client, a free, easy-to-install app that powers Aspera high-speed transfers between your desktop and Aspera on Cloud. And be sure to use a supported web browser. -
Quick start: Send files and folders
Sending even the largest files or data sets is quick and simple, much like sending an email with attachments. Your recipients receive a copy of the files and folders you attach. -
Quick start: Share a folder from your Files app repo
You can share folders in your Files app. When you share folders, you give your recipients direct access to your source material. You also give each recipient a specific permission to access the folder contents. -
Uploads and downloads
In the Files app, upload files and folders so that you can share that content with others. Download from the Files app to access file and folder contents. In the Packages app, send a package to upload package contents to a transfer server. Download packages to access package contents. -
Monitor transfers
You can review your attempted and completed transfers and monitor your active, in-progress transfers using the transfer monitor. This in-app monitor reflects the transfer activity that you perform using the Aspera on Cloud app, including transfers that use the IBM Aspera Connect transfer client; the IBM Aspera HTTP Gateway; and direct node-to-node FASP transfers. To view transfer activity and usage for the entire organization, use the Aspera on Cloud Activity app. - File preview supported file types
