Purpose: To guide users in customizing their Aspera on Cloud account settings. Prerequisite: Aspera on Cloud user account required. Audience: Aspera on Cloud users. |
1. How to customize your Aspera on Cloud account settings:
Customize your Aspera on Cloud by setting your personal defaults for language, table size, download locations and more. Subscribe to email notifications, add your public key (optional), and disable IBM Aspera Connect if your organization uses Aspera HTTP Gateway for transfers.
-
Set your default language
Aspera on Cloud is available in several languages. You can select a language as your default; each time you log in the app displays in the language you select. -
Set your default items per page
You can set a default page size that determines how many items per page display in each Aspera on Cloud table. You can override the default you set at each individual table. If you don't set this value, the system default is 25 items per page. -
Set your default app
If you have membership in multiple applications, you can designate one of them as your default app, so that each time you log in to Aspera on Cloud, and each time you enter a workspace, your default app displays. Your choice of default app applies to every workspace you access. -
Set your default workspace
If you have membership in multiple workspaces, you can designate one of them as your default workspace. Each time you log in to Aspera on Cloud, your default workspace displays. Your choice of default workspace applies to both the Packages app and to the Files app. -
Set your default download location
You can set or change the location for the folders, files, or packages you download using the IBM Aspera Connect transfer client in Aspera on Cloud. Once set, you can override this location for a specific transfer by selecting Download to.... instead of Download. -
Add your public key
You can add a public key to your Aspera on Cloud account, to be used in conjunction with your private key when accessing the Aspera on Cloud API using an API client. -
Subscribe to email notifications
You can subscribe or unsubscribe to specific Aspera on Cloud email notifications. The settings you select apply to notifications in every workspace you are part of, and override notification settings configured by the administrator. -
Disable IBM Aspera Connect
If and only if your organization supports IBM Aspera HTTP Gateway, you can disable IBM Aspera Connect transfer client and the default prompt to install Aspera Connect.
